Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026.

These terms cover your use of Dices, a local-first desktop app for running AI coding agents. By using Dices, you agree to what's below. We've tried to keep it plain and reasonable.

Alpha software — provided as-is

Dices is alpha software. It's under active development, things will change, and bugs are expected. It is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. You use it at your own risk, and we recommend keeping backups of any important work.

Your account & credentials

Dices is bring-your-own. You connect it to AI providers using your own API key (such as an Anthropic API key for Claude) or your own installed official CLIs (such as those for Codex, Gemini or Cursor). You are responsible for:

Dices stores your secrets encrypted in your operating system's keychain and never transmits them to us.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Dices lawfully and responsibly. In particular, don't use Dices to:

Agents can take real actions on your machine and in your projects — running commands, editing files, making network requests. You are responsible for what your agents do, including reviewing and approving their actions. Treat agent output with the same care you'd give your own.

Third-party services & trademarks

Dices works alongside tools and services from other companies. Those services are governed by their own terms, and the relevant trademarks belong to their owners.

Dices is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Cursor, or any other provider. Claude, Codex, Gemini, Cursor and other names are trademarks of their respective owners.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Dices and its maker won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages — including lost data, lost profits, or business interruption — arising from your use of (or inability to use) Dices. Because Dices runs locally with your own credentials and your own agents, you remain in control of, and responsible for, the actions taken on your machine.

Changes

As Dices evolves, these terms may change. When they do, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use Dices after a change means you accept the updated terms.
